The Ethiopian Women in Energy Association (EWiEn) is seeking to recruit a Trainer for Women Students’ Energy Club Committee Members to deliver a one-day orientation and capacity-building training at each of the selected institutions: Addis Ababa University, Adama Science and Technology University, and General Wingate Polytechnic College.

The training will focus on strengthening the capacity of Women Students’ Energy Club committee members to effectively lead, organise, coordinate, and manage club activities, while engaging students and relevant stakeholders. The trainer will equip committee members with practical knowledge and skills in leadership, teamwork, communication, activity planning, student engagement, networking, advocacy, conflict management, problem-solving, and effective club functioning and sustainability.

The selected trainer will be responsible for preparing a simple one-day training agenda and relevant training materials/presentations, delivering the training at each institution, facilitating practical exercises and discussions, conducting a brief participant feedback/assessment, and submitting a training report highlighting the training delivered, key issues discussed, and recommendations.

We are looking for a technically qualified and experienced professional with a relevant Master’s degree in leadership, management, education, development studies, gender, energy, or a related field, and at least 5 years of experience in training and facilitation. Experience in leadership development, youth engagement, organisational development, or related areas is required, while experience working with university/college students or youth organisations is an advantage. Strong communication and facilitation skills are essential.

The trainer will work closely with the EWiEn designated focal person and coordinate with the relevant institution during the preparation and delivery of the training.
